I have chosen to read “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee. It is set in the a sleepy place called Maycomb County in Alabama. The main character is named Jean Louise “Scout” Finch. Her father is a lawyer and she has an older brother. So far, the story is a journey through her childhood and challenges and joys. I have read that To Kill a Mocking bird is a mix of genres, from coming-of-age to southern courtroom drama, but I have yet to see that surface in the story.
I am enjoying the book so far; it is very interesting and I don’t know what will happen next. I am excited to continue!
